Pyongyang: In order to control the spread of coronavirus in North Korea, the country's military and police have been ordered to shoot anyone they see within half a mile of North Korea's border with China.

It has been reported that this drastic new measure was announced a day before midnight on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Horyeong city police said appropriate action would be taken regardless of the reason why North Korean civilians went near the Chinese border.

The North Korean government has also ordered the firing order to be extended to North Korea's 880-mile border with China.

It has also been announced that no departmental action will be taken against the officers responsible for the shooting.

Despite the closure of the border by the two countries in the wake of the Corona outbreak, people near the border have been secretly pursuing trade.
