Sri Lanka: A letter signed by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has been sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 46th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council seeking his support.

"The letter was received by the Prime Minister of India through the Embassy of Sri Lanka. We hope India will support Sri Lanka during this meeting," said External Affairs Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
