Sri Lankan police headquarters said those who violate the isolation and curfew could be sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment with fine.

Meanwhile, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said that those who violate the instruction of isolation are endangering the country.

He added that more than 3,000 people have been kept in 22 isolation centers across the country.
