Actor Kamal Haasan appealed to the Madras High Court that the police were harassing him in the name of investigation into the Indian2 accident.
In his petition, Kamal stated that the police were trying to act on the accident at the scene.
The plea hearing was held.
On hearing his petition, the High Court ruled Kamal Haasan does not need to go to the police inquiry where the accident took place. The High Court has ordered Kamal Haasan to appear at the Central Criminal Investigation Office, if necessary.
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has ordered 23 people, including Director Shankar, to appear at the scene of the accident on Mar 17.
