Chennai: The Twitter community is not happy with Masakali 2.0's title track that was released online on Wednesday.

The movie has Siddharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. The music, which was originally composed by A R Rahman was recreated by Tanishk Bagchi.

The maestro's fans described the remix version as 'disguising' and trolled the music director and the team online. Some commented 'even corona got quarantined' after listening to the remix track.

Though A R Rahman refrained from commenting on the remix track, he posted the original song and asked his fans to enjoy. He further said, "No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations. A team of a Director, a Composer and a Lyricist supported by actors, dance directors and a relentless film crew." - Lots of love and prayers A.R. Rahman."

The original song composed Rahman was sung by Mohit Chauhan for the movie Delhi-6 starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. The film was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
